Google is ending Gmail's 'Send mail as' in January 2027. Here's what it means for your email →

Terms of Service

Plain English, because you should be able to read this without a lawyer. It covers what we provide, what we ask of you, and what happens when something goes wrong.

Last updated Jul 29, 2026

1.Who we are, and what you're agreeing to

SendMailAs (“we”, “us”) is operated by Mohit Gaddam. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

You can reach us any time at support@sendmailas.com.

2.What the service does

SendMailAs lets you send and receive email at your own domain from inside an existing mailbox. We configure the DNS and mail authentication records for your domain, forward inbound mail to a destination inbox you nominate, and relay your outbound mail with DKIM signing so it authenticates correctly.

We are not a mailbox provider. We do not store your email. Inbound mail is forwarded to the inbox you choose and outbound mail is relayed to its destination.

3.Your account

Accounts are created through Google sign-in. You're responsible for the security of the Google account you sign in with, and for everything done through your SendMailAs account.

You must own, or be authorised to administer, every domain you add. Adding a domain you do not control is a breach of these terms.

4.Plans, billing and refunds

  • The free plan covers 1 domain with up to 2 aliases.
  • Pro is billed annually at $49 per year, or the discounted rate shown at checkout, and covers unlimited domains and aliases.
  • Payments are handled by our payment provider, Polar. We never see or store your card details.
  • If we raise our prices, the rate you subscribed at is preserved for as long as your subscription stays active.
  • You can cancel any time. Pro access continues until the end of the period you've paid for, after which the account returns to the free plan.

Subscription payments are non-refundable. Because you can cancel at any time and keep Pro until the end of the period you've already paid for, you never lose access you've paid for by cancelling.

This doesn't override refund rights you may have under consumer law where you live — see section 11.

5.Acceptable use

Don't use SendMailAs to:

  • Send unsolicited bulk email, marketing to purchased or scraped lists, or anything a reasonable person would call spam.
  • Impersonate anyone, or send from a domain you don't control.
  • Send phishing, malware, or content that is illegal where you or your recipients are.
  • Resell the service, or run it on behalf of third parties as a mailbox provider of your own.
  • Circumvent the sending limits, bounce controls, or any other technical protection in the product.

6.Fair use of the free plan

The free plan covers 1 domain per person. Creating additional free accounts to work around that limit — including pointing multiple free accounts at the same forwarding inbox — isn't permitted.

We may decline a forwarding address that another free account already uses, and we may suspend accounts that exist only to work around plan limits. If you need more than one domain, Pro covers unlimited domains and aliases.

If you've ended up with two accounts by accident — a .com and a .co.uk of the same brand, say — just email us. We'll help you merge them onto one login without interrupting your mail.

7.Sending limits and anti-abuse

New accounts start with a conservative daily send limit that increases automatically as the account builds a clean sending history. We monitor bounce and complaint rates, and may pause sending on an account that exceeds safe thresholds.

These controls exist to protect the deliverability of every other customer on the platform. We may adjust them without notice when deliverability is at risk.

8.Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms. Where the circumstances allow it, we'll contact you first and give you a chance to put it right. For active spam or abuse causing harm to others, we may act immediately.

Suspension stops inbound forwarding as well as outbound sending. Mail sent to your addresses during a suspension is rejected by the receiving server and is not recoverable once the suspension is lifted.

You can delete your account at any time from your settings. Deleting it removes your domains, aliases and routing from our systems. Your DNS records stay in your registrar until you remove them.

9.Your domains and DNS

Your domains remain yours. Depending on how you set a domain up, we either give you records to add at your registrar, or manage a DNS zone on your behalf. You can point your domain elsewhere at any time, which will stop mail flowing through us.

10.Availability

We work hard to keep the service running, but we don't offer a guaranteed uptime commitment. Email delivery also depends on networks, registrars, DNS providers and receiving mail servers outside our control.

The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.

11.Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits, lost business or lost data.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including, for customers in Australia, rights under the Australian Consumer Law, and equivalent non-excludable consumer rights elsewhere.

12.Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product changes. If a change materially affects your rights, we'll email account holders before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.

13.Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live.
